As the Director of Student & Career Services at the Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research, Marcy is here to support you throughout your journey. Whether you're unsure who to contact within Student Services, facing challenges that impact your success in the program, or simply looking for someone to brainstorm with, Marcy is a trusted resource.
In addition to providing student support, Marcy oversees the Career Services aspect of the program. Students and alumni are encouraged to connect with her for help with job search strategies, interview preparation, and resume/cover letter assistance. These career services are available for life, so whether you're starting your career or navigating a new chapter, Marcy is here to help.
Marcy鈥檚 goal is to provide a safe space for students to develop plans, access the support they need, and share feedback or ideas to enhance programming. Don鈥檛 hesitate to reach out鈥攖ogether, we can create a supportive and enriching experience!

Schedule for Writing Center Support:
In Lauren's writing support role, she is available to help you at various stages of your academic writing assignments, resumes, and cover letters.
For writing assignments, Lauren can help you in brainstorming, outlining, editing, and APA formatting. Please feel free to contact her in whatever stage you're at in the writing process!
For resume and cover letter support, Lauren can help start from scratch or build on existing materials. She can provide example resumes and cover letters to provide a starting point or listen to your internship and work experiences to help you develop social work verbiage to demonstrate your applicable skills. She aims to listen to your interests and goals to help tailor your materials appropriately.
Lauren can be available for both synchronous Zoom calls and asynchronous reviews. She aims to allow you to direct the meeting in identifying how she can be the best support to your learning during the time you're working together.

Mary Florence has been fortunate to work with the Student and Career Services team since joining the GSSWSR community as a doctoral student in 2020! In her current role, Mary Florence collaborates with the Director and Student Services Coordinator on projects and events that creatively explore the many worlds of social work. Even though she no longer regularly meets 1-1 with students,
