Visitor Accounts and Access

91³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÈë¿Ú is happy to provide some network and computer access to College Alumnae and visitors, including visiting scholars, conference guests, and vendors.

In order to qualify for wireless or network computer access, visitors must be at least 18 years old (or be part of a pre-approved conference or camp).  By obtaining login credentials, all visitors are agreeing to the College’s Acceptable Use Policy. Any violation of the policy can result in an immediate termination of network access.

Wireless Network and Internet Access

All 91³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÈë¿Ú alumnae can access eduroam, our secure wireless network, by using their college email address and password on a personal computer or mobile device. For instructions on connecting to eduroam, see . Password resets are available from the Help Desk (610-526-7440 or visit Canaday) by phone or in person.

Eduroam is also available to members of any participating institution (including Haverford and Swarthmore) using one's own institutional credentials (full institutional email address and password).

All network access to summer camp and conference attendees is provided via Conferences and Events. Please speak to that office if you need wireless internet access.

Any other visitor may request visitor access to our wireless network.  The mechanisms providing this access change from time to time. Visitors may be required to visit the Help Desk or another office in person, and may be asked to present a valid photo ID, provide contact information, and/or sign a form agreeing to our policies. Please see  for current practices.

  • Visitor access is offered as a courtesy.  91³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÈë¿Ú reserves the right to revoke, limit, or decline to issue visitor access at any time for any reason.
  • While the wireless network has excellent uptime, it is not guaranteed to be available 24/7/365. The wireless network, the campus power grid, and our Internet connections have occasional periods of scheduled and unscheduled outage.  We do our best to publish these as it is possible to do so.
  • We do not guarantee that all devices can connect to our network.
    • Connection to eduroam requires WPA2-Enterprise connection capability.
    • Configuration of some devices render them unable to connect for a variety of reasons.
  • Please note that the use of personal Wi-Fi tethering or hotspots is prohibited on campus as it interferes with the operation of our wireless network.  Please request visitor access to the wireless.

Computer Access

91³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÈë¿Ú offers two types of computers that may be used by College visitors: kiosks and lab machines.

Web-only kiosks can be found in a number of locations throughout campus. These kiosks do not require a username and password and can be used for basic internet access (e.g. checking web-based email, getting to social media sites, using Tripod, etc.).

In order to use other programs (e.g. Microsoft Office) or do more extended web browsing, visitors will need to visit the Help Desk in Canaday Library to obtain a Visitor Account for use with lab computers (located in each library).  The mechanisms providing this access change from time to time. Visitors may be asked to present a valid photo ID, provide contact information, and/or sign a form agreeing to our policies.

  • The primary purpose of our public lab computers (located in each library) is to provide computer access for members of the Bryn Mawr College community. At busy times of the year, there may be no available computers for visitors to use.
  • Visitors are provided access to computer labs during the hours the library is open to the public.
  • Printing from any public lab computer to any public printer (located in labs) using a visitor account is provided as a courtesy. Visitors cannot print to office printers. Visitor accounts are limited to 100 prints, and at this time there is no mechanism to provide additional prints.  We will not issue an additional account in order to allow additional printing.
  • All computer logins for summer camp and conference attendees is provided via Conferences and Events. Please speak to that office if you need to register your device or log in to a campus computer.
  • Using Bryn Mawr College resources (including computers and visitor accounts) is subject to all applicable laws and policies, including the Acceptable Use Policy.  Please note that the Acceptable Use Policy prohibits sharing of College accounts including visitor credentials.
